These websites (or 'portals') offer information about the regions, their towns and villages, things to see and do, and local information.

They also offer a cost effective way for local businesses - both large and small - to gain access to internet marketing.

Since July 1998, over 17 million pages of information ('page impressions') have been downloaded from these websites.
